Progress Update • LLL-1 Leading and Learning Plan • 360 Assessment Feedback • Results from LLL I • Scored low on Develops Others • Progress • Able to develop others through Six Sigma Black Belt project. • Mentored four groups and progressively interact with other groups to develop their knowledge • Myers Brigg • Results from LLL I • ESTJ (Extraversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) • Practical, realistic, quickly move to implement decision • Progress • ESTJ still fits my current background • Need to develop other behaviors or at least understand them
Progress Update – Continue… • Kolb – Converger • Results from LLL I • Best at finding practical use for ideas and theories • Ability to solve problems and make quick decisions • Rather deal with technical tasks instead of social issues • Progress • Able to deploy Test Process Yield (TPY) at work • Able to work with others on social issues and complement and greet others more often • EQ In Action Profile – Self Reflection & Empathy • Results from LLL I • Need development in Empathy Accuracy • Need to understand others thinking, feeling, and wanting • Progress • Always recall to get team members feedback for group projects instead of finishing up the project without consensus from team • Didn’t vision myself has a effective communicator – feedback from manager

Modifications to LLP - Leadership Capacity • Plans for increasing leadership capacity • Bill George • “Don’t wait for someone to tap your shoulder for opportunities” • Apply for management role – start now • Just finished panel interview last Monday for manager position • Accelerate in progressive way
Modifications to LLP - Influence • Influence with work teams and organization • Accomplishment from influencing • Able to deploy Change Management through software team • Tough task but achievable • Influence decision with software project by reducing cycle time and eliminating waste • Development on authenticity • Need to demonstrate leadership influence through more projects • Share knowledge to other organization • Look beyond today and develop innovative ideas • Be more active by asking aggressive questions to new ideas • Be passionate to others and their opinion and listen to them
Modifications to LLP – Addressing Growing Edge • Already communicated to Manager and Sr. Manager about seeking for leadership opportunity • Need to be proactive even if not challenged at work • Utilize education knowledge
Description of Action Learning Project • Leading project within software group • Goal – streamline software code in order utilize cross training • Current software projects does not have capability of cross training • Great feedback from Questioning Practice during last class • Start by focusing on most changed software • Subdivide the group • Use Kolbs Learning Style and example that Alanna provided.
Action Learning Project Timeline • Manager wants project to be completed by 1st quarter of 2010 • Project is initiated by May of 2009 • Plan to start by developing QFD (Quality Functional Deployment) within current group • Send out survey to both software group and customer to get feedback • Understand customer segmentation and meet with team members to decide how to proceed with action plan.
Summary • Challenge myself by being active on Leading and Learning Plan • Focus on Action Learning Plan • Be progressive on career growth • Ensure to keep using education knowledge throughout daily projects and team meetings • Get to know myself better (self awareness) • Focus on my True North • Make significant impact on individual’s life both professional or personal • Kou’s North
Conclusion – Authentic Leadership • LLL II has even open up my eyes from a whole new level of leadership • Makes me think and challenge myself more • Focus on my True North Leadership skills • Keep myself challenged and think long term • What is the story that I want to tell?
