  3. Medical Information • Darrell has 20/80 vision that has been corrected to 20/20 with glasses. Sometimes he does not bring his glasses to class. Darrell is diagnosed as having spina bifida. He uses a wheelchair. Darrell has had a history of medical problems most of which have been related to his spina bifida. He has had several surgeries and gets frequent infections.

  4. Medical Information (Continued) • He has been hospitalized about once a year for kidney infections for the last several years. Hospitalizations have resulted in absences of about 15 days per year. Other absences have averaged about 11 days per year.
