  2. Introduction CPR Airway Breathing Circulation Defibrillation

  3. Step 1Check Victim for Response Tap your victim

  4. Step 2Activate Emergency Response Call 911 Get the AED

  5. Step 3Open the Airway Head tilt Chin lift

  6. Step 4Check for Breathing Check for at least 5 seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.

  7. Step 5Give 2 rescue breaths Give breaths one second each!

  8. Step 6Check for pulse 1 2 Check the carotid pulse Check pulse for at least 5 seconds, but no more than 10 seconds

  9. Step 7Locate CPR hand position Place hands over heart Place hands between nipple line

  10. Step 8Deliver first cycle of 30 compressions 1 ½ to 2 inches deep Full chest recoil

  11. Step 9Give 2 rescue breaths Give breaths one second each!

  12. Step 10Deliver 2nd cycle of 30 compressions 1 ½ to 2 inches deep Full chest recoil

  13. Step 11Give 2 rescue breaths Give breaths one second each!

  14. Step 12Continue CPR until EMS arrives and AED is activated Continuous CPR saves lives!
