Yu, the Great – Founder of the Hsia Received power when a leader named Shun passed power to him because he was seen as a perfect civil servant. He eliminated flooding and built canals to benefit the people. Instead of passing power to the most capable person he passed it downed to his son, starting the first Chinese Dynasty
