  2. DEFINING “MISSIONARY” One who fully comprehends the call of God to GO, PREACH & DISCIPLE people and who is motivated by LOVE to obey the call!

  3. A Deep knowledge of God's Word. • A Detailed understanding of Who God is, and who we are in Him. • A Distinct affection and love toward God and one another.

  4. Knowing God’s Word • Paul desired to know Christ deeply • All sound relationships have a fixed time for communion • Cultivating intimacy means seeking after God

  5. Understanding God’s Character • Intimacy is knowledge of “who” someone “is” • God wants you to know Him intimately • Knowing God’s character brings confidence • In Christ we are one with the Father

  6. Obedience Reveals Intimacy • Intimacy produces affection • Some serve God selfishly • “Christianity” is vain without obedience • Affection produces obedience • Perfection is achieved through obedience • Obedience over sacrifice
