  2. Text implicit questions • The reader must use information from the text, along with their own knowledge and experience, to answer them. Example: Why would people put their trust in medical treatments that were primitive and based on superstition?

  3. How do these questions help the reader? • Finding answers to text-implicit questions can strengthen the reader’s understanding of a text • Helps the reader to form new ideas about a topic

  4. How are these questions successfully answered? • Reader’s need to tap into their own prior knowledge and connect that to the text in order to answer these questions successfully.
