  1. CARDS WORDSMITHS When a person wants get married, it can be a very exciting and interesting time for the couple. While planning a wedding, the couple has to engage is so many exciting things that they do together. Some of these exciting things do help the couple to bond. An example of such is wording a wedding card invitation. Wedding invitation wording is certainly not as simple as it sounds except for those who want to go with the norm. If you are the kind of person that thrives on being different from others then you may want to have something different from the norm on your card. Host lines Wedding cards do have rules that govern them much as any other thing in life does. The first line of a wedding card is usually called the host line. This line usually contains the names of the people who are inviting and perhaps paying for the wedding. Most people usually start with the name of the bride’s family and then followed by the name of the groom’s family. This was the practice during days gone by owing to the fact that the bride’s family usually hosted, invited people and paid for their daughter’s wedding. Of course times have changed and that is no longer the case. NAMES In wedding invitations wording after the host line has been taken care of, then comes the names of the two individuals involved. The name of the woman usually comes before that of the man. The woman is the person giving in to the advances of the man and so her name comes first while the man’s name follows. The names can be first names only or a combinations of first and second names for both partners. ACTION LINE This is the line that tells people exactly what the card is about and what they are being invited for, this action line is important because it spells out the actual invitation of people to the wedding ceremony. INFORMATION LINE This line on the card divulges any other information which is of importance to the people who are planning to attend this wedding. It is important that the information here is clearly spelt out as important information for the use of the guest are usually put in this area. PARTY LINE

  2. This is the concluding part of the card and it does sometimes contain rsvp wording and other equally important features.
