Solve the following equations for the variable. a.) x + 4x = 40 b.) (x + 4) + (2x + 7) = 101 c.) | x+ 2| = 15

  3. Mastery Objective • We will use the segment addition postulate to determine the length of a segment(s). • We will use the angle addition postulate to determine the measure of an angle(s).

  5. Picture Geometry (partners) • Segments only have to be named by 2 letters, even if there is a third letter in between. Example: CAO can be named as just CO or CA or AO. • For angles, when you talk about the house you must use 3 letters unless you are just talking about the roof part. • Parallel and Perpendicular definitions and symbols. • 3 collinear points and 3 noncollinear points.

  9. Summary • On your colored post-it, complete the summary problem. • Write your name at the top of your post-it. • Complete the problem based on the color of your post-it. • For example, if you have a Yellow post-it, you will complete the problem on the yellow poster paper.
