Language Arts • I am excited to introduce the Reading Program adopted by SMSD in 2013. It weaves Reading Fluency, Comprehension, Decoding Skills, Grammar, Spelling and Writing into one seamless program. • Spelling-The Spelling list will come home each Wednesday. The test will bethe following Wednesday. The test Schedule is on the calendar if you have a question about a shortened week. • Reading-Independent reading-”Price Chopper” Program; KU Reading Log through the library and “Book It” personal pan pizza rewards. • Book Report-1 Book Report assignment will be given each quarter. Information will come home describing the specifics of each assignment.
