STEPS INITIATED TOWARDS A STRATEGIC RMMS 1. SFW Strategic framework 2010-2015 4 priority areas • Sustainable increase of agricultural production, productivity and diversification for better nutrition of most vulnerable populations affected by short, medium and long term food insecurity • Sustainable management of natural resources encompassing women and vulnerable groups’ specific needs • Enabling attractive, competitive and gender sensitive environment for markets and improved food quality and safety for better trade encompassing women and vulnerable groups’ specific needs • Knowledge management, advocacy and policy coordination in West Africa
INITIAL STEPS TOWARDS A STRATEGIC RMMS2. Draft SFW RMMS 2012/2013 Goal: Secure timely, predictable and adequate resources and support for the achievement of SFW’s work in the PWB 2013-2013 Four specific objectives • To consolidate, diversify and expand FAO resource partnerships; • To advocate FAO’s comparative advantage, through a vibrant communication campaign to support resource mobilization; • To create a new culture for resource mobilization Organization-wide, strengthening coordination and enhancing capacities and, • To effectively manage and report on resources and results at all levels, to Governing Bodies and external partners Target: USD 48m by 2013 through voluntary contributions (10)%)
