D.I.D.L.S • D- The diction of this poem is symbolic and complimentary to theme. • The author uses diction such as; “flush,” “relief,” “nervous,” “peace,” “love,” and “reach” to convey the poems connection with love and feelings throughout. • There is an obvious element of overcoming something that can be seen through choice of diction.
D.I.D.L.S • I- The author uses an obvious element of imagery throughout. • This is apparent through the author’s use of “veins to flush,” “levelled gun,” and “nervous laugh.” • These elements provide visuals for the reader and in turn bring them into the poem.
D.I.D.L.S • D- The author does not use an overabundance of details throughout. • The details the author uses such as; “narrowest veins,” “waited for,” “morning let us pass,” and “day by day” all allude to the night when joy began. • These details serve to describe “the night when joy began.”
