The weird red thing is a salamander. Plant and Animal Life • Animals Include black bears, fox squirrels which happen to be rare in the park, whitetail deer which are very common, and the harmless water snake often mistaken for a venomous Cottonmouth, Elk which weigh up to 700 lbs, Bobcat is only known feline at park, and brook trout are common in parks ponds and rivers. Plants include trailhead, backbone, and chimney tops. WARNING! BEARS CAN BITE YOUR FACE OFF!
Issues Facing the Park Run away from that!!!!! • Wooly Adelgid is a caterpillar which eats millions of trees. • Invasive plant is garlic mustard. • Air pollution from generators locks in air.
History Next to you, a grist mill. one of 97 historical sites known to my park • Even though people have lived here for centuries, it was founded in 1934.The grey pointy thing you are wondering about is a projectile point which is approximately 9000 years old. Cherokee Indians were moved in 1830 for the settlers liking. The president was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Many people helped establish my park like Charles Webb, Jim Thompson, Mark Squires, George Masa,Ben Morton, Horace Kephart, and Ann Davis
Activities Sounds fun • Horseback riding in the Smokies is common. • Auto touring p you a chance to view the park's natural beauty from Mountain peaks to rushing water. • Wildlife watching • Bicycling • Hiking • Fishing • Horse Riding • Camping • Auto Touring • Picnicking
Conclusion • My park has a nice, beautiful scenery which is home to over 1500 black bears and 30 species of salamander. My park is a national treasure even though there is invasive species of plants and bugs and air pollution. My park deserves to be restored.
