Why did we do it? • Three reasons…… • Current reports are very 80’s style • SYSPRO 7.0 field sizes • Customization • Also • Word Printing… limited potential.
Architectural considerations • Must work on Windows and UNIX • Uses SYSPRO business objects to derive data – does not target database directly • Uses XML as data transfer mechanism SYSPRO Reporting Services provides future-proof report customization.
