  2. Defense • Keep your knees bent all the time so you are lower than the other person • When the ball is snapped look for who has the ball • If you are about to hit somebody get as low as you can and wrap your arms around them then take them to the ground

  3. Offense • Quarterbacks run the offense • You need to stay low on offense also • As a running back you take the handoff and run for the end zone avoiding the defense If it’s a run play • As a receiver you run your route and catch a pass from the quarterback depending on if it’s a pass play

  4. Scoring • One way to score is to get a touchdown (6 points) • You can earn an extra point if you can kick the ball through the goal post (1 point) • A field goal is when you kick the ball through the goal posts (3 points) • You can get a safety by tackling the apposing team In there own end zone(2 points)

  5. Special teams • Special teams include punting, kickoff, kickoff return, punt return, and field goal • Kickoff is used after a touchdown is scored or at the beginning of the game and after half time • Punts are used when you cant get a first down and you don’t want to turnover the ball where you are • On kickoff return your team receives the ball and you try to get to the end zone • Punt returns are the same as kickoff return
