  3. Critical Information • NHS email address • cbeastnhs@gmail.com • Make sure the email address you used to reply to induction is the address you want emails sent to. • This is our primary method of communication. We will email you pertinent information as well as sign-up opportunities for NHS events.

  4. Requirements It is a CB East NHS requirement to participate in at least 4 NHS-sponsored events for a total of 15 hours of school / community service Maintain above a 3.5 GPA Uphold the values of NHS (Scholarship, Leadership, Service, & Character)

  5. Induction The NHS induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 14th at 7:00pm. DRESS TO IMPRESS! This is a formal ceremony. Our superintendent, Dr. Weitzel, will be our guest speaker. Plan to arrive at 5:30. We will meet in the cafeteria. We will line you up alphabetically.

Induction • Processional • Welcome (Mr. Lucabaugh) • Recognition of Officers (Officer speeches) • Guest Speaker (Dr. Weitzel) • Induction ceremony • Brandon will lead you in the NHS Pledge • Each row will walk to the front of the stage as your names are called • Receive your NHS pin and certificate • Closing • Reception (with refreshments) immediately following the ceremony

  7. Christmas Toy Drive Spend approximately $50 per child. May sponsor a child individually or with a group of up to 5 people. If you do it individually you get 5 hours. If you do it in a group, you will split the hours. There are also administrative hours to earn as well. We will need people to sort and tag the gifts. Deadline to tell us if we are going to participate is Nov. 10. Due date for toys to NHS is Tues. December 3.
