The most serious mistake of all: • Contrary to popular belief, the Roman Catholics were more tolerant; more so than Protestants. • Racism in the U.S. has always been known, slavery was never hidden. • The Civil War, which we all know was the North against the South, Confederates against the Union.

  4. More of this terrible error: • After the woman had her baby, she could spend time with her child then after the child became a certain age, she went back to work. • Which is why although music from these two groups is similar in many ways it is also different. • From the blues to jazz all the way to R&B and finally hip hop.

  9. Don’t be Redundant • This means don’t repeat yourself!

  11. What are apostophes for? • Apostrophes show possession. Not every word that ends in an “s” should have an apostrophe!

  13. Until you are a pro, follow this advice: • Don’t use first Person: I believe, I feel, I will now, etc. • Don’t use second Person. After a long day’s work, you would see them … • Use one instead of you. • Don’t use only the first name of famous people. • Use the full name or just the last name.

  15. Subject-verb agreement counts • Learn to conjugate words correctly and make sure the verb form agrees with the subject!
