  3. Pika • A pikais a small hamster-like animal. • Pikas are going to be extinct soon because of climate change. • Since pikas live in cold weather, climate change is affecting their habitat by making the cold weather hotter.

Ups and downs of penguins • Over the past 25 years, the population of Adelie penguins decreased by 22% while the population of Chinstrap penguins increased by 400%. • Since Adelie penguins live in cold weather and due to climate change they are dying. • But Chinstrap penguins could live in warm weather their population would increasedue to climate change making the world warmer.

  5. The Caribou • Caribou is from the reindeer species. • Since Caribous have lots of fur and lack of sweat glands, during summer its very hard for them to survive.

  6. POLAR BEARS • Polar bears feed by scouring openings in the ice. • Because of global warming, ice is melting and polar bears have to look somewhere else to find food. • Even if polar bears find other foods, they are not getting the proper nutrition they need.
