No volunteers. • Request that SC 31 make a call for French-speaking members to translate ISO/IEC 19762
Future • The various parts of ISO/IEC 19762 will not be required for review until April 2013. • SC 31/WG 6 already has several dozen terms which may need to be added. • SC 31/WG 6’s work on sensors will certainly add new terms and definitions. • Regardless of whether “security” becomes SC 31/WG 4/SG 7 or SC 31/WG 7 new terms will emanate from that work • It is the recommendation of the Vocabulary Rapporteur to combine all SC 31 terms into a single document of one part.
Resolutions Requested • SC 31, upon the recommendation of its Vocabulary Rapporteur, resolves that future editions of ISO/IEC 19762 should be in the form of a single document of one part, with all terms incorporated into that one document. • SC 31, upon the recommendation of the JTC 1 IT Vocabulary Maintenance Team (ITVMT), calls upon the National Body of France to provide a volunteer to translate the five parts of ISO/IEC 19762 into French.
