  2. Presentation agenda Presentation of the project The Essential Skills identification approach What are your needs to integrate ES into your intervention?

Project objective « » Why? • Intervenors have an opportunity to add job-related activities to their intervention. • Essential Skills (ES) are a reminder of the reality of the job, which can mobilize learners in their approach. Expose Francophone intervenors to Essential Skills (ES) so that they can identify them and address them in their interventions.

  5. Project stages • Expose the participants to the identification process • Presentation of May 11 • Production of a video clip to transfer the explanation to the other colleges and intervenors • Gather comments and suggestions • Produce a reference tool for the intervenor

Know the dominant ES 1441 3413 Nurse Aides, Orderlies and Patient Service Associates NOC 3413 Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates assist nurses, hospital staff and physicians in the basic care of patients. They are employed in hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care facilities. The most important Essential Skills: Using Documents Oral Communication Working with Others Administrative clerksNOC 1441 Administrative clerks compile, verify, record and process forms and documents, such as applications, licences, permits, contracts, registrations and requisitions, in accordance with established procedures, guidelines and schedules. They are employed throughout the private and public sectors. The most important Essential Skills: • Using Documents • Oral Communication • Job Task Planning and Organizing

Identification of ES to integrate into the intervention • Identify the tasks of the occupation that can be demonstrated in my intervention • Using Documents • Read posters, labels or lists. • Complete forms by checking boxes and entering data. • Read completed forms. • Target activities that can be presented in my intervention • If I am an IT trainer, I will add concepts of working with online documents to my course outline. • If I am a training advisor, I will ask the participants to identify the course or program that interest them in the information given.
