  1. Lifelong Learning Workshop Alison Clyde National Development Officer Generations Working Together

  2. Intergenerational practice • aims to bring people together in purposeful, mutually beneficial activities which promote greater understanding and respect between generations and contributes to building a more cohesive community.

  3. Our aim: To work with a range of partners including Education Scotland to develop intergenerational approaches which can be positively and inclusively incorporated with the Curriculum for Excellence with a view to reducing age stereotyping, improving community cohesion and encourage lifelong learning.

  4. Timescale Sept 2012 – expert short life working group set up (1 year) • Working group meeting 3-4 times Four sub groups set up • strategy • education • mapping • marketing
