Cal Day goals • Engage with current students • Drive publicity for event by current students themselves • Reach out to those who are not already aware of our Facebook page • Help promote campus student groups to prospective students (win-win)
Cal Day strategy • Reach out to student groups • Create a Facebook album • Each “photo” + organization name + link to FB event • Encourage them to share their “photo” • Most Likes, Shares, Comments = winner!
Results • Over 25 student groups participated • 1,180 clicks on link to FB event • Album generated heavy traffic to our page.
Learnings • Publicize earlier + on FB page first • Set a cap on how many groups can participate • Make deadline earlier
