  2. Who I am

  3. Because things that matter are at a click’s reach

  4. Not all of those things are good

  5. Because the world got smaller

  6. Opinions got louder

  7. There are good and bad opinions

  8. And that’s okay

  9. What’s not okay are opinions that we don’t want to hear

  10. Opinions that trigger us to retaliate

  11. We have seen this in our country’s recent events

  12. What does have to do with us?

  13. We have opinions

  14. They may be good or bad

  15. And that’s okay

  16. What’s not okay are opinions that others don’t want to hear

  17. So how do we use social media responsibly?

  18. How do we use social media effectively?

  19. His posts are optimistic, inspiring, and a source of good wisdom

  20. Lots of people share it because of these attributes

  21. But they also share it because of his authority

  22. Which brings me to my only two points for this talk

  23. If you want to use social media to influence the world

  24. Influence it for good

  25. What is the definition of good?

  26. Anything that will move people positively

  27. Anything that will glorify god

  28. If you want to influence the world, you need to increase your authority

  29. If you don’t have any authority online or offline, people will simply not pay attention

  30. Which may cause you to stop trying

  31. People generally pay attention to bad and controversial opinion

  32. That’s why there are so many ‘trolls’ today

  33. It’s easier to be a troll than to be an authority online

  34. That’s why, for this talk, I will focus on building your authority

  35. Building authority online is hard because

  36. There’s too much noise
