“ FRIENDS OF ST BARNABAS” NEEDS YOU. Making a Difference Together.
E N D
“FRIENDS OF ST BARNABAS” NEEDS YOU Making a Difference Together • We have rejuvenated the existing St Barnabas PTA from 2010 and would really like your support. A group of parents and staff have formed “Friends of St. Barnabas” (FOSB) and invite all parents, teachers and family members to help us create a thriving and successful Parent Teachers and Friends Association which should in turn provide a richer education for our children. • “Friends of St. Barnabas“ will provide an opportunity for everyone to work together with a common purpose to make a huge difference to the pupils at the school. • Together We Aim to: • Fundraise for items that the school could not otherwise afford (the children directly benefit from these events) • Improve the school’s facilities, community spirit and partnership with parents • Socialise and get to know each other whilst taking part in a range of activities • Share common concerns and work with the school to find solutions • Find out more about how the school works and develop effective partnerships with the teaching and non-teaching staff • Improve communication between FOSB and Parents by sending regular updates and showing you what we have achieved and how this has benefited our school and ultimately our children • What do we need? - Your Help!! • If you would like to be a committee member, a volunteer at events we will be organising , or just give us ideas on what you would like to see going on in and around the school we would love to hear from you … You really can give as little or as much time as you have……… • NO need to attend “boring” committee meetings to make a difference, when you could make a few hot dogs for the summer fair instead!! It’s not just for the Mums we would really welcome any Dads, Grandads or Grandmas etc to join us and get involved. • We are sure you will be interested in getting involved in some way or another. If so please give Allison Mercer a call on 07795 410428 or drop an email to the school with your contact details (st.barnabas@blackburn.gov.uk) • . Welcome to St Barnabas – Thankyou for your support
