  3. Sponsors. • “Unilever” was sponsor of the marathon in 1996-2009. • Since 2010 the official name of competition – «Virgin London Marathon» in honor new sponsor VirginMoney.

  4. word records. • Khalid Khannouchfrom Morocco set word record  (2:5:38) in 2002. Women set word record three times. Last time was in 2003. Paula Radcliffe did it (2:15:25).

  5. Mexican DionicioCeron, Portuguese Antonio Pinto and Kenyan Martin Lel won Marathon three times. Ingrid Kristiansen finished first four times.

  6. lily Shobuhova from Russia finished first in 2010, second in 2011 and third in 2009. • YakovTolstikov from Russia finished first in 1991.

  7. Races among the disabled are held since 1983. • Mini Marathon is Marathon among children(11-17 ages) • Mini Wheelchair is race among children with disabilities.
