  7. Caldarium • “Hot room” like scald • Deep tub of hot water at one end • Marble benches • Olive oil & strigil • Massage • Cold water at the other end

  8. Frigidarium • “Cold room” – think “refrigerator” • Unheated water • Refreshing end of the trip

  9. Other Rooms • Laconicum – hot, dry room like a sauna • Unctorium – room specifically for oil massages

  10. Heating System - Hypocaust
