Dushanbe, Tajikistan, August 2013 (in the frame of the High-level international conference on Water Cooperation) • SDC-UZ, SDC-KG, SDC-TJ, ISW-TJ, Oxfam, Helvetas Intercooperation, Acted • SDC RésEau CA shall be a platform to promote and facilitate the exchange of information, knowledge sharing and possibly some lobbying mechanisms. • Request for more practical field visits and technical exchanges

  4. Kiev, Ukraine, October 2013: Team exchange ApaSan Moldova and DesproUkraine • ApaSan Moldova and Despro Ukraine during one week • Most valuable results thanks to small number of key participants • Good complement thanks to focused topics

Uzbekistan - Tajikistan, field visit, May 2014 • SDC-MD, SDC-UA, SDC-UZ, SDC-TJ, Apasan project MD, Despro project UA, ISW-UZ, ISW-TJ, Oxfam, UNDP, Aga Khan Foundation TJ • First field visit & exchange meeting among all SDC-CIS partners • Topics: • Decentralised WES governance in rural areas • Financing mechanisms and solutions • Decentralised small scale sanitation solutions • Up-scaling approaches in the WES sector

  6. Rés’Eau Central Asia – Moldova – Ukraine (CIS): next steps • Thematic Workshops + Site visits in Moldova and Ukraine (1 week). Topics: ecosan and wastewater treatment, community managed water supply (incl. institutional development, financial management) • Staff exchange / training: engineer + hygiene specialist of IWS (Taj/Uzb) to ApaSan Moldova on ecosan technology, implementation and training • Joint publication: SDC water projects in the CIS region, comparison of approaches • On-line conference / course on financial and institutional issues in community managed water supply • Study tour on wastewater management and inter-communal cooperation (to CH or France or Slovenia • NPO exchange meetings on country, sector and project context and policy dialogue
