  1. AnahiMendoza, a Future Leaders of America’s student since 2007, recently graduated with honors from Santa Maria High School, where she was Valedictorian. After being accepted to NYU, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, UC Los Angeles, among others. Anahi will be attending to Harvard University where she has been offered a full rite scholarship. Anahi first became part of Future Leaders of America when she was a freshman at Dos Pueblos High School, after being recruited for our Summer Leadership Camp. In 2008 she participated as volunteer staff, educating and training younger students the importance to excel academically and civically. FUTURE LEADERS OF AMERICA’S STUDENT ACEPTED TO HARVARD UNIVERSITY Besides her academic excellence, what makes Anahi stand out is her commitment to advocate for equal educational opportunities for all youth. Also, she has been training hundreds of students about social justice. Anahi was referred by the FLA program coordinator to other community opportunities such as Just Communities, The Chicano/Latino Leadership Conference in Sacramento amongst others.
