1) SELF EVALUATION IS IT IMPORTANT TO CONDUCT SELF EVALUATION ? To manage Professional and Personal life, it is important to know : Our Strength, our Weakness, our space for Improvement, our Measurement of success (S.W.I.M) What is a Strength? A strength is a capabilities your can perform better than other people, without major efforts. What is a Weakness? A weakness is a capabilities naturally you cannot do well, and you believe you cannot improve. WHAT I AM NATURALLY GOOD AT WHAT I WILL “NEVER” BE GOOD AT
What is a Area of Improvement? An area of improvement is a capabilities you cannot perform better than average, but you believe you can improve. What is a Measurement of Success? A measurement of success is the level you want to achieve in each area of improvement. WHAT I AM NOT GOOD AT, BUT COULD BE. HOW GOOD I WANT TO BE IN MY AREA OF IMPROVEMENT
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO REGULARLY DO A S.W.I.M TEST ? To do a S.W.I.M test, helps you to evaluate/measure your capabilities at a given time. By knowing your level today, you can set goal to improve yourself in the future DESTINATION: How you want your capabilities to be Point of Origin : What are your capabilities now ACTION TO CHANGE/IMPROVE S.W.I.M test helps you to find your current Capabilities

2) SETTING PROFESSIONAL GOAL IS IT IMPORTANT TO SET PROFESSIONAL GOAL? To have a Professional Goal, allows you to manage your efforts and make better professional choices. Having goal is also a motivation factor, it gives us a reason to work. DO I NEED PROFESSIONAL GOAL TO DO A GOOD JOB? You can work in a company without having a professional goal, but your work only benefit the company, not you. Knowing your goal, allows you to work for the good of the company and for your own good.
HOW TO SET PROFESSIONAL GOAL? There are two ways to set professional goal : BY TASK: Your goal is to be better in some of tasks. (Example: Creating exam paper) BY POSITION: Your goal is to reach a certain position. (Example: I want to become a Programme Director SHORT TERM GOAL LONG TERM GOAL DO I NEED SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM GOAL? It is easier to achieve long term goal if you set short term goal. The short term goal are steps you must do to reach your long term goal.
