Visit to Fraunhofer A visit to Fraunhofer FEP ( Dresden ) was organised. Fraunhofer are the specialist institute for sputtering. Dates for the next runs have been proposed. June and July, for test runs with samples supplied by CERN. Visit report: https://edms.cern.ch/document/1075080/1 Neil Dixon PH/DT CERN 17/05/10

To increase our choice of PET materials, we are investigating a method to improve the bond between the PET and PEI parts of the detector. Results of these tests will be available this week. Other methods are considered. Plasma Blaster : Neil Dixon PH/DT CERN 17/05/10
- Purchase and coating by Fraunhofer of one or two sample rolls in June 2010. - Testing and CERN and JINR. - Preparation of another roll for July, this option will be used depending on results from the June run. Plans : Neil Dixon PH/DT CERN 17/05/10
