Regions They speak Arabic. Egypt's main source of water is the Nile River. You need to wait for the host to tell you where to sit. You can only eat with the right hand only.Always show appreciation for the meal. This might sound crazy but salting your food is considered an insult. You should Leave a small amount of food on your plate when you have finished eating. Otherwise they will keep filling up your plate for you!

Egyptian women wear hegabs which are head scarves and hebeyas which are long robes and some young Egyptians even wear jeans and skirts! Meanwhile ancient Egyptians wore sandals and tunics and even kilts! Wow! Who knew Egyptian fashion was so interesting?

EgyptHuman Environment Interaction The environment of Egypt is mainly dessert. Egypt is part of the Sahara desert, which means it is hot and dry. The Nile River runs through Egypt. People have adapted to their environment by living close to the Nile River and not in the desert. People in Egypt have modified their environment by digging canals and irrigation ditches. The people in Egypt depend on the Nile River for a source of water and food. That is one reason why Cairo has so many people living in it. One of the effects of changes in the environment is that if you have irrigation ditches you can grow crops. FUN FACT: Cairo is home to Africa’s only subway.
