Glasgow City Council Glasgow – UK Council of the year 2015 First important document to read is http://www.gtcs.org.uk/web/FILES/the-standards/standards-for-registration-1212.pdf Any concerns you would have about a member of your team not engaging fully with the standards would be reported to your line manager (DHT) for an open and frank conversation about next steps – you would not start any process 1+2Looking Back & Moving Forward

Glasgow City Council Glasgow – UK Council of the year 2015 The document below needs to be examined and then a support plan put in place. Things to think about Short term – is it just a bad patch? Is it something that can be easily fixed with CLPL/coaching? Staff might only need to be on the informal stage to have time to process and re engage with standards 1+2Looking Back & Moving Forward http://www.snct.org.uk/library/2120/LNCT%20Circular%2011.pdf
Glasgow City Council Glasgow – UK Council of the year 2015 • Any support mechanism would need to be agreed with your link DHT and HR • Your role as PT/FH in this would not be to lead it but to support the process - that may mean you would be involved with observations, providing CLPL, being observed • All communications would be from the link DHT/HR • There are parts of the process that need to be adhered to. 1+2Looking Back & Moving Forward
Glasgow City Council Glasgow – UK Council of the year 2015 • Documentation referring to observations will be provided by DHT • Timescales are key to this • When a member of staff is undergoing this process is it very important to remain neutral and transparent however, that does not mean that the member of staff can opt out of departmental activities/development • Yes it is awkward having a member of staff on this as you still need to carry on as normal. 1+2Looking Back & Moving Forward
