Admissions Requirements • Standard or advanced high school diploma or a GED • No ACT or SAT required for admission • Complete an application for admission – there is no application fee • Sign-up to take the COMPASS assessment • Attend a START-Up Day
How Much Does it Cost? • Tuition and Fees - $ 90.00 per Semester hour • Full Time Student is 12 Semester Hours • 12 x 90.00 = $ 1080.00 • Books and Supplies estimate - $ 300.00

Scholarships – Summer Studies • Classes will transfer • Reasons to enroll • Has no affect on any other financial aid • Will not effect plans to attend another institution in the fall • Beginning college freshman can save valuable time and money with this exciting new program • There is no application fee for Shelton State
Scholarships – Summer Studies • Complete the yellow 2003-04 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) • Complete a Shelton State application for admission • Bring Student Aid Report (SAR) to the Financial Aid office • If eligible you can receive up to $2000.00 to go to school this summer • If not eligible scholarships available for students with a 3.0 GPA

Non-Traditional Scholarships • Gender oriented • If an individual enters an occupational field where their gender makes 25% or less of the workers, they are considered non-traditional (example – female going into welding) • According to need • $15,000 set aside for non-traditional students

The Super Educational Plan • Tech Prep Articulation Plan • Student does college work in high school • Can received up to 9 hours free college credit • S Cube Program • Student can receive up to 12 hours free college credit • We now have earned 21 college hours free
Student signs up for 12 hours Pell Grant $2,400 Technical Scholarship $500 Total Assets $2,900 Cost $1,380 Final outcome – student has earned 12 college hours free and put $1,520 in his pocket
BF Goodrich Plan Student earns $540 per week $540 per week x 4 months = student earns $8,640
Final Assessment • Student had the opportunity to earn 34 college credits • Cost $0 • Student has earned $10,160 GO TO SCHOOL!
