  2. BELL-RINGER: Get out your Hamlet character list and a book. Which characters will be particularly upset about the death of Polonius? Will their reactions be the same, or different? Explain.

  3. 4.5 (page 105): KING QUEEN GENTLEMAN LAERTES HORATIO MESSENGER “ALL” (yes, the WHOLE class!) STAGE DIRECTIONS TWO PEOPLE TO MAKE NOISE

  4. 4.5: Copy down 4 lines that show why Oph. is upset. Copy 2 lines that show why Laertes is upset. List 1 foil for Hamlet in this scene and explain the sims. & diffs.

  5. FOIL: A character that serves to contrast another; some sims., some diffs.
