Overview • Central Site AIM I/AIM II implementation for all NETC Centers plus non-NETC communities • CPM Rel 5.0 hosting at NETPDTC
AIM Central Site Hosting at NETPDTC • NETC N74, N6 and NETPDTC have a plan and schedule to migrate most AIM content andprocessingto NETPDTC Citrix Metaframe-based servers over the next year • Benefits Include: • Simultaneous access by geographically dispersed Center and contractor personnel for collaborative development and maintenance • Support for future centralized enterprise data mining • Significantly faster access to software updates (not NMCI dependent) • Potential for automated workflow
AIM Central Site Implementation • Points of contact: • NETC N74: Leslie Desenburg • NETPDTC: Peg David/Gene Cobb/Charlie Odom (Metaframe Sys Admin) • AIM team: Ron Zinnato/Jim Ferrall • Implementation resources including planning document templates and narrated help videos available on AIM information Web page: • AIM Central Site Hosting at NETPDTC
Implementation Issue:Privilege Levels • 5 levels implemented in AIM II per CNATT request • 3 levels implemented in AIM I per SSP request • All user communities need to review current business process and adapt for Central Site environment • Many lessons learned from CNATT implementation including request for 6th level in AIM II to support limited contractor visibility into AIM production instance
Implementation Issue:eDMZ transition • Current Central Sites to be migrated from existing network to new NETPDTC eDMZ network in early CY12 • CID and remaining sites delayed 60 days because of effort to migrate 500-700 existing Citrix ESS accounts to the new eDMZ environment
Implementation Issue:‘ancillary data’ • Prospective users have requested that NETPDTC establish an ‘ancillary data’ (i.e., not really AIM stuff) storage area in conjunction with their AIM I/II Central Site instances • Need better definition of how this ‘ancillary storage’ will be used and NETC N6/N7 approval of business process and IT infrastructure loading
Implementation Issue:NOFORN NNPI • Affects only non-SWS undersea community – NAVSEA 07TR, SLC, SLC learning sites • Stringent data handling controls for unclassified No Foreign Dissemination Navy Nuclear Power Information, mandated by NAVSEA 08 • Currently no comparable data management capability implemented on NETPDTC network • LOE and business case to implement still TBD
Non-NETC Implementation • SSP TRIDENT AIM I Central Site instance to transition from NAWCTSD to NETPDTC by 1 Oct 11 • NAVSEA 07TR AIM I Central Site instance TBD per decision on support for NOFORN NNPI data • Other interested communities: • Navy Medicine • NAVSPECWARCEN • NAVRES
CPM Hosting at NETPDTC • NETC N74/N6 and NETPDTC in process of migrating production version of CPM to NETPDTC • In place by 1 Oct 11 – NETPDTC has installed test instance of CPM Rel 5.0 on new server and preparing to support formal GAT to be arranged by AIM SSO • Full IA Certification and Accreditation process underway by NETPDTC/AIM team • CeTARS Web service, AIM enterprise data environment Web service, and PPP Repository integrated into CPM on NETPDTC server
CPM Hosting at NETPDTC(contd) • Benefits Include: • Enterprise production hosting and support vs. current R&D environment in Orlando • Leverages NETC domain sys admin, database management, and information assurance expertise at NETPDTC • Co-located with rest of NETC enterprise IT applications and off-site COOP support
CPM Hosting POCs • NETC N74: Leslie Desenburg • NETPDTC: Peg David / Gene Cobb / Bob Rayburn (CPM Sys Admin) • AIM team: Ron Zinnato / Jim Ferrall / Jamie Stewart / Steve Wicinski
