  16. C. Critical Thinking 15. Similarities:  - In both the Old and New Stone Age people used stone tools, weapons, and other materials. - People hunted animals in both Old and New Stone Age.

Critical Thinking Differences: - In the New Stone Age people developed farming, which led to a settled life. - In the Old Stone Age people hunted and gathered food and lived as nomads.  - In the New Stone Age tools were more advanced than the Old Stone Age. - In the New Stone Age the population increased, and cities and towns developed. - In the New Stone Age people domesticated animals.  - In the New Stone Age there were social classes.

Critical Thinking 16. - Farming allowed people to stay in place all year.  - The food surpluses led to people being able to feed bigger families.  - There was rapid population growth and this caused the development of cities and towns.  - As the cities grew there was trade and people started to have time to try new occupations other than farming.
