Having a Base Play • Sets the tone for your offense. • A play you will run “anywhere, any time.” • Run from multiple formations. • Gives you something to go to when things get crazy. • Examples . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Base Play “Musts” • Must be an expert at that play. • Be able to solve problems with it • Must be able to adjust the blocking scheme. • Must be able to find formation advantages. • Must be stubborn about running it. • Must have complimentary plays when the defense “over-adjusts” to stop it.
