Policy –1 vote Professional Personnel –1 vote CTE Liaison –1 vote • Division Representation: • ASLT –Up to 2 reps (1 vote) • BEPP - Up to 2 reps (1 vote) • Counseling - Up to 2 reps (1 vote) • GLPS - Up to 2 reps (1 vote) • KAD - Up to 2 reps (1 vote) • LA - Up to 2 reps (1 vote) • SMT - Up to 2 reps (1 vote) • SS/CA - Up to 2 reps (1 vote) Total number of members: 17-25 Total number of votes: 16 Quorum: 9

Policy Chair Professional Personnel Chair CTE, SEEED, Pathways Liaisons • Division Representation: • ASLT –Up to 2 senators (1 vote) • BEPP - Up to 2 senators (1 vote) • Counseling - Up to 2 senators (1 vote) • GLPS - Up to 2 senators (1 vote) • KAD - Up to 2 senators (1 vote) • LA - Up to 2 senators (1 vote) • SMT - Up to 2 senators (1 vote) • SS/CA - Up to 2 senators (1 vote) Total number of members: 23-31 Total number of votes: 15 Quorum: 8

Differences: • Recognizes part-time faculty as a constituency, which receives 2 votes • Creation of 2 At-Large senators, that will be voted on by the campus, to help balance the representation and get more individuals involved in Academic Senate. • Curriculum, Ed. Policy, Professional Personnel and Liaison positions no longer receive a vote. They are recognized as standing committees of the Academic Senate, which have division representation from each division, and don’t have a constituency that they can vote on behalf of, so there is no need for a vote. • Changes the language from representative to senator.

  5. Pros & Cons • Similar number of voting members • Quorum is still a reasonable number • All divisions have an equal vote • Divisions have regular representation at meetings • Votes are being cast on behalf of a constituency • Not every division senator has a vote • Small divisions may not be able to have two senators.
