Organizing For Success! • Student Handbook: A daily planner and information booklet • Schedules: A & B days (for 7th and 8th graders only!) • Advisor: A teacher assigned to keep track of your progress, and to help you adjust in all areas of the school. You will have scheduled meetings with your advisor throughout the year.
Sources of Information • Community Time: A weekly meeting at 8:25 each Monday • Assemblies • Academic Alert: A note sent home mid-quarter to point out areas of concern • Progress Report: Quarterly report • Comments: A narrative written by your teachers about your academic progress

MS Dress Code • Middle School (Grades 7 - 8) • khaki pants, walking shorts, skirts, and jumpers • navy blue collared, polo or buttoned down style shirts (white is permissible during 1st and 4th quarters); shirts may be plain or feature the Heritage logo; no other logos are permissible • all shirts must be of sufficient length that they may be tucked in • white turtleneck/mock turtlenecks or collared blouses are permissible when worn under a plain navy sweater, a navy Heritage sweatshirt, or plain navy sweatshirt • the only sweatshirts that are allowed are plain navy or any style/color Heritage logo sweatshirt • white crew socks, white or navy knee-length socks, or tights • tennis shoes or dress shoes
Bookbags / Lockers * Plan to use your locker for books * Bookbags can’t be left on the sidewalk

A few last important notes Carpool: Drop off and Pick up • Please DO NOT drop off at flag circle or behind gym. • MS students may be dropped off in the mornings at the LS carpool drop-off. • Pick-up is at MS pick-up point ONLY. • If a student is picked up after 3:30, pick up will be in the Media Center. A parent must come in and sign the student out of the study hall.
Prescription medications: • If your student needs medication dispensed to him/her at school, you must send the medication in the original prescription bottle. • Attach a note with instructions • Include last dose information
