5. HOW TO EARN CREDITS • Take 6 classes a semester • 2 semesters = 1 year • Pass 1 class = 5 credits • 6 classes x 5 credits = 30 credits • 30 credits x 2 sems = 60 credits • 60 credits x 4 years = 240 credits

English – 4 Years required Cal State / U.C. – 4 years of college preparatory English C. Mathematics – 3 years required / 4 years recommended Cal. State / U.C. – Including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 or higher mathematics D. Laboratory Science – 2 years required / 3 recommended Cal. State / U.C. – One year of a biological science and one year of a physical science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) E. Language other than English – 2 years required / 3 years recommended Cal. State / U.C. – 2 years of the same language other than English Or a satisfactory score on at SAT 2 subject language test. F. Visual and Performing Arts – 1 year required Cal.
