  3. IE-AT GIS Project Background • IE-AT Recognized growing need for GIS expertise by Industry • Bring State of the Art GIS software to VCCS Colleges • Extended current VT license to include participating VCCS Colleges • Goal: GIS SW installed at every participating college by end of 2003

  4. Applicability • Surveyed colleges for interest • IE-AT picks up first year of Maintenance cost • Participating colleges will have to pick up support cost in subsequent years. ($xxxx)

Getting GIS Software • Download software from VCCS Utility FTP site (requires PWD to unzip) • Create Installation CD’s • Contact IEAT Admin for Authorization Code for ArcView and each extension • Install on desktops (requires internet access) • License Server installation is also available • Detailed instruction at http://www.ieatcadd.com

How to Access Courseware • Send an Email to Linda Jones at IEAT with course requests • Authorization codes will be e-mailed back • Register or Log into the ESRI virtual Campus web site with your ID. • Choose course and enter auth code. • Can order as many as needed for a class, codes are good for 12 months access • Detailed instruction at http://www.ieatcadd.com
