What is the ASLI Designation? Provides professional training and recognition Designed for anyone whose job duties or professional interests involve surplus lines insurance Unveiled in 1995 by the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation in concert with The Institutes Official recognition from NAPSLO at the annual NAPSLO convention

ASLI Current Requirements The ASLI program consists of four courses and credentialing examinations: • Two courses focusing exclusively on surplus lines: ASLI 163 and ASLI 164 • Two elective courses chosen from a list of approved electives

ASLI 164Surplus Lines Insurance Products • Overview of Surplus Lines Insurance Products • General Liability, Professional Liability, and Management Liability • Commercial Auto Liability, Environmental Liability, Excess Liability and Umbrella Liability • Commercial Property and Commercial Crime • Business Income and Extra Expense • Aviation Insurance, Ocean Marine Insurance, Inland Marine Insurance, and Personal Insurance

Methods of Study A number of ways exist to study and prepare for the credentialing examinations required to earn the ASLI designation: • Attending a class • Organizing a study group at your place of employment • Studying independently
About the Examinations ASLI exams are offered at Institutes-approved on-site testing locations and Prometric Testing Centers. The exams are: • Two hours • Computer-administered • Objective (multiple-choice) questions • Available during four testing windows • Students who pass all four examinations earn the Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance designation
