straight ahead action pose to pose animation • Animator starts with first drawing in a scene and animates freely from there. • Usually has more a random feeling. • Less structured, but has a more creative feel. • Animator plans each pose in a scene and then goes back and creates the animations that go between each pose. • Timing more important. • Used for most acted animations.
