THE COMPANY: Columbus Industries, an ATV manufacturer in Fairview, IL
THE HS NEED: Fast, powerful, true off-road ATVs for moving tactical personnel and customs/borders officers for extended periods of time
THE HS SOLUTION: Columbus will use $150 K IPG award funds to develop an enhanced version of the COOT2 ATV that will be more powerful, have better suspension and transmission, and able to be remote operated and mounted with sensors and surveillance tools for WMD and tactical situations.
THE ILLINOIS SOLUTION: IPG funding will help Columbus to finalize the product and create 21 new jobs at its Fairview plant over the next 24 months.
