  2. History of the Reading Club • Over 32 years of Summer Reading clubs for Children • Over 20 years of Summer Reading for Adults • Covers 5 branches and three ages groups

  3. What Didn’t Work • Themed reading requirements • Prizes of books or items in the same subject area of the theme • Not having prizes in hand by the beginning of the club • Being restrictive in what counts for the club • Reviews • Complicated records • Don’t be too theme oriented when choosing programs

  4. What Does Work • Punch Cards • Individual Prizes • Sign-up prizes • Prizes for people who read more than the minimum

Punch Cards • Book mark • Business Card • Postcard Novel Destinations Adult Summer Reading Club 2011 Rules .You must sign-up for the club after June 1, 2011. .Only library items checked out after you have signed up count towards the 15 item goal. .Only items checked out from Briggs Lawrence County Public Library will be counted. .To win a prize, you must read or listen to 15 books by July 30, 2011. .You can only win one prize. .Once you have read or listened to your 15 books, you can choose between a travel mug or book bag (while supplies last).
