Rifled WeaponClose Shot (Within 3 Inches for pistols & revolver. Rifles <8 inches) - • Wound is circular with inverted edges. • There will be scorching ( singeing ), blackening, tattooing • Abrasion ( contusion ) collar due to impact of spinning bullet. • Grease collar are seen due to grease rubbed off from bullet.
Rifled WeaponNear Shot ( 1-3 feet) • Edges inverted. • No scorching ( singeing ). • Blackening & tattooing present. • Also abrasion & grease collars present.
