At home I /we will aim to: • Work as a partner with school to ensure my child achieves their full potential. • Support my child in school work, ensuring homework is returned on time. Encourage reading every day and return books to school daily. • Support and reinforce the school’s Behaviour Policy (available to view on the school VLE or through the school office) • I will also: • Make sure that my child attends school regularly. That they are in school on time (8.50am) and that they are picked up on time (KS1 - 3.25pm, KS2 – 3.30pm). • Make sure that my child is appropriately dressed in school uniform with sensible school shoes (not trainers) • Ensure my child does not wear jewellery of any kind except a watch. • Provide appropriate equipment including a clean PE kit, water bottle and rainy day bag. • Keep the school informed of absences via a phone call or e-mail to the office followed by a letter/e-mail to the class teacher explaining the reason for absence on return to school. • Attend Parents’ Evening to discuss my child’s progress and support school events and meetings. • At school we will aim to: • Involve you as a welcome partner in your child’s education. • Know your child as an individual and celebrate their uniqueness. • Provide a friendly, caring and calm atmosphere for your child. • Provide high quality teaching through a stimulating learning environment across a broad and balanced curriculum. • Encourage your child to always do their best and achieve their full potential in all areas of school life. • Encourage children to develop a love of learning and a desire to succeed. • Ensure your child fulfils the expectations of the school’s Behaviour Policy. • We will also: • Provide a varied programme of extra curricular activities. • Send home regular news letters and keep you informed of forthcoming events. • Keep you informed about your child’s progress.
