Resource: Universe of Learning on Amazing Space http://amazingspace.org/universe_of_learning NASA’s Universe of Learning will advance STEM learning and literacy by creating and delivering a unified suite of education products, programs, and professional development that spans the full spectrum of NASA Astrophysics.
Resource: AstroPixhttp://astropix.ipac.caltech.edu/ Welcome to a new "one-stop shopping" experience that makes finding the right astronomy image easier than ever! AstroPix offers access to the public image galleries of many of the leading astronomical observatories under a single unified interface. Assets will include a full range of astronomical observations, artwork, and charts spanning the field of astronomy.
Resource:Recoloring the Universe with Pencil Code http://chandra.si.edu/code Grades 4-12 students with no prior coding experience can learn how to use computers to create images and understand astronomical data. Participants learn basic coding starting with familiar objects and simple concepts such as shape and color, graduating to astronomical objects. They can follow a video tutorial, or participate in an interactive on-line session or in-person workshop. Following a scaffolded set of activities, and working with data from NASA orbiting telescopes on sources from exploded stars to star-forming regions, to galaxies, to black holes, participants can experience real world application of science, technology and even art.
Resource:Eyes On Exoplanets http://eyes.nasa.gov/eyes-on-exoplanets.html Get set for launch! “Eyes on Exoplanets” will fly you to any planet you wish—as long as it's far beyond our solar system. This fully rendered 3D universe is scientifically accurate, allowing you to zoom in for a close look at more than 1,000 exotic planets known to orbit distant stars.
Resource: ViewSpace http://hubblesource.stsci.edu/exhibits/self-update/viewspace/ An internet-fed, self-updating, permanent exhibit for museums, libraries, and schools • NASA science exhibit for formal and informal education communities • Enjoy a wide range of space and Earth science programs • Over 10 hours of continuously looping presentations • Hundreds of partner locations throughout the US and the world • Approximately 9 million viewers annually
