The idea of this exercise is to keep the conversation going. Don’t stop signing until I stop you. I want to see how good you are at conducting a conversation in ASL. • Do you maintain eye contact? • Are you an active listener—with your facial expressions and comments? • Do you ask questions about what your partner has just said? • If you don’t understand what your partner has said do you use appropriate techniques for clarification?
