Entry eligibility criteria: Every candidate is considered on an individual basis, and a wide range of qualifications is accepted. The entry requirements given below apply to the 2022 entry. UK students: Undergraduate degree: you need to have an honours degree (2:2 or above). The authority doesn’t accept nursing degrees. GCSE requirements: You must have GCSE level 4 (C) or above in English and maths. Proof of these must be in your application. Related healthcare experience: The NMC requirements for taking up this accelerated course are fulfilled by ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ also called (the RPL nursing report) which is in harmony with a graduate-entry level of experience in healthcare or other related employment. Showing the expected skills, knowledge and attitudes must be proven before a place may be provided. Attainment of the pre-requisite for entry to the two years accelerated programme will be evaluated through face-to-face interview, oral presentation and successful completion of a portfolio of proof (prior learning) at the graduate entry point.

  3. Interview: Keep in mind that an interview is a compulsory requirement in line with the professional and regulatory body requirements. Work experience: previous experience in a healthcare setting is necessary. EU or international candidates: Undergraduate degree: you need to have an honours degree (2:2 or above). International equivalents are acceptable. The authority doesn’t accept nursing degrees. International or EU equivalents: the authority accepts a broad range of qualifications from all over the world. IELTS: 7.0 (with not lower than 7.0 in reading, speaking and listening and on lower than 6.5 in writing). GCSE English language at grade 4 or above may also be acceptable English language eligibility criteria: apart from IELTS, the authority also accepts other English language qualifications like TOEFL, iBT, Pearson PTE, IB, O Level English and GCSE. GCSE requirements: you need to have GCSE level 4 (C) or above in English and maths (or international equivalent). Related healthcare experience: the NMC requirements for taking on this accelerated course are satisfied by ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ also called (the RPL nursing report) which harmonizes with a graduate-entry level of experience in healthcare or other related employment. Showing the expected attitudes, skills and knowledge at this level must be proven before a place may be given.
