Responsibilities of an IA • Manage and disburse funds from GEF in accordance with the rules of the IA; • Oversee project implementation in accordance with the Project Document, the work plans, budgets, the agreements with co-financiers; • Provide technical support;
Review expenditure and monitor financial management of the project; • Carry out supervision missions; • Responsible for evaluations being conducted (UNDP); and • Report to the GEF on project progress through the annual Project Implementation Review, and provide financial reports to the GEF.
During implementation, the project will be supported by the following UNDP offices: UNDP Fiji in Suva: Operational and administrative oversight: Emma Mario. UNDP Asia Pacific Regional Center: Technical oversight Jose Padilla. UNDP HQ: Other support, including liaison with GEF as may be necessary. Andrew Hudson
